Each of these projects was performed entirely by NAM’s staff of in-house engineers and project management personnel. Typically each project was assigned a NAM team comprised of a Principal, two or three registered professional engineers, and additional project management and support personnel. NAM works closely with these clients to conduct thorough site analyses, develop procurement strategies, write Request for Proposal (RFP) documents, support the procurement process, evaluate proposals, support contract negotiations and provide design and construction period services. In addition, NAM often serves as the Owner’s Engineer and Representative throughout the construction phases of the project. NAM also helps validate any proposed system changes and evaluate value engineering proposals, reviews system testing and commission plans, performs on-site field verification of PV systems, and validates that system output meets contractual commitments. Our approach to managing the work is based on establishing an effective governance framework and clear communication channels that fostered collaboration.
